The “Low Greenhouse Gas Emissions: Promoting Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in Building in Jamaica” project of the Institute for Sustainable Development (ISD) at The University of the West Indies (UWI) has recently engaged a Policy Consultant, Engr. Keroma Bernard, P.E. to assist in the development of a draft policy document for Net Zero Energy Building (NZEB) construction and retrofit guidelines in Jamaica as well as recommendations for amendments to the existing draft building code.
The process towards development of this draft policy will include consultations with stakeholders and workshops to confirm/define findings and make recommendations.
