The UWI Net Zero Energy Project hosts an Energy Policy Workshop

The University of the West Indies (UWI) on March 23, 2017, hosted a workshop to develop a draft policy to promote higher standards of energy efficiency and a transition to renewable energy in Jamaica and the Caribbean.

The workshop titled “Energy Efficiency in the Built Environment in the Caribbean: Energy Policy”, was presented at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel under the “Low Greenhouse Gas Emissions: Promoting Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy Building in Jamaica” (LGGE) project of the Institute of Sustainable Development (ISD) at The UWI.
